What is Little Bruin Wishes?
A Holiday gift card program for UCLA's Students with Dependents. Little Bruin Wishes is supported by members of the UCLA community who wish to support students with dependents and their families during the holiday season. This involves the anonymous monetary donations so that parenting student families might enjoy a more festive holiday. Community partners include external community members, staff, faculty, and alumni.
How Does it Work?
If you are a current UCLA student with dependent(s), and you are in need of additional support this holiday season, please complete the application form by Sunday, November 29, 2020.
Who Should Apply?
Families of all faiths, cultures, and traditions are welcome to apply! Graduate, undergraduate, non-traditional, and international families are eligible. Any student who feels that they will not be able to give their children a happy holiday due to financial limitations is encouraged to apply.
What Else is Needed for the Application?
Students selected to receive gift cards from Little Bruin Wishes will be asked to complete a thank you note before receiving the gift card(s). Notes will be given to anonymous donors by our staff.
When will I find out if my family was selected to be recipients?
Students will be notified via email before Finals Week. Further information will be emailed to you at the email address provided.
A VERY SPECIAL THANKS to our friends at the University of Minnesota Student Parent HELP Center for helping the UCLA Students with Dependents implement a program similar to the U of M annual holiday Adopt-A-Family program. Their guidance and support has been pivotal to launching Little Bruin Wishes. "Go Golden Gophers!"
